James Pate

James Pate has been a Licensed Funeral Director in the State of Maine since 1987. Jim was born in Maine, grew up in Saco and graduated from Thornton Academy. He received degrees in Finance and Management from Bentley College and later graduated with honors from New England Institute of Applied Arts and Science. He has worked at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home since 1986.

Jim has been an active member of the Saco community, including:

  • Dyer Library - Past President of the Board of Trustees and present Chairman of the Building and Grounds.
  • Saco Historical Commission - past member and President of the Saco Historical Commission.
  • Saco Bay Rotary Club - Charter member
  • Saco Little League and various youth hockey associations - Member
  • Saco Masonic Lodge - present Treasurer and past Master
  • Thornton Academy - involved with various fund raising and Alumnae events

Jim lives in Saco with his wife, Lisa, and their children, Jonathan and Katherine.

Chad Poitras is a Licensed Funeral Director at Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home. He attended Buxton schools and is a graduate of Bonny Eagle High School. He graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and Point Park College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Chad is an active member of the Buxton community, including:

    • Buxton Masonic Lodge #115 - Past Master & Past District Deputy Grand Master
    • Pleasant River Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star - Officer
    • Kora Shrine Temple - Noble
    • 19th Century Willowbrook Museum - Member

Chad lives in Buxton with his wife, Cheryl, and their son, Mathieu.

Robert D. Pate

Robert D. Pate began his career in funeral service in 1958, after completing mortuary school. After working at a funeral home in Rockland, Maine, and operating a hearse & embalming business for many years, Bob purchased Dennett & Craig Funeral Home from the aging Earl Clark in 1965, and the rest, as they say, is history – and can be found on the History page.

Bob is a former member of the Saco Rotary Club and was on the Board for the Salvation Army, and is still active in the community. He lives in Saco with his wife, Clara.

Kristina St. Cyr

Kristina is a Licensed Funeral Attendant and Office Administrator at Dennett, Craig and Pate Funeral Home. She has worked for us for seven years. In addition to these two roles, Kris also develops the Memorial DVDs for our customers. Her technical and design abilities, coupled with her sensitivity, allows her to be able to create a visual memorial that will touch the heart of all who knew your loved one.

Kris attended Hollis Schools, graduating from Bonny Eagle High School. She is involved in her children's sporting activities and volunteering at football and baseball games. She lives in Gorham with her husband, Ray and 3 children, RJ, Cameron and Hayley.

Kelsey Shannon

Kelsey Shannon is a Licensed Funeral Attendant and has been with Dennett, Craig & Pate for six years. After graduating from Thornton Academy, she attended New England Institute of Mount Ida College in Newton, Massachusetts. Kelsey has lived in Saco her whole life, and is an active member of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) in Saco.
